2007 GMC Acadia Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) for Bank 1 Sensor 1 on 2007 GMC Acadia?
A: The beginning step for the heated Oxygen Sensor ho2s bank 1 sensor 1 replacement requires the upper Intake Manifold removal. First disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the ho2s electrical connector while removing the ho2s electrical connector retainer from the engine wiring harness clip. The Exhaust Manifold must be carefully inspected when removing the ho2s so both the pigtail and connectors remain undamaged to preserve sensor functionality. New sensors arrive with factory coating yet old sensors require gm p/n 12377953 anti-seize compound application to their threads prior to reuse. Tighten the ho2s against the Exhaust Manifold to 42 n.m (31 lb ft). Safely marry the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the ho2s electrical connector and then fit the ho2s electrical connector retainer into the engine wiring harness clip. The last step involves upper Intake Manifold replacement after verifying proper connection quality to avoid performance problems.
