    A: The replacement procedure for heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) bank 1 sensor 2 begins with vehicle elevation and support. Unstice the connector position assurance retainer. Disconnect the ho2s electrical connector from the engine wiring harness electrical connector. First disconnect the ho2s from its Exhaust Pipe position. During sensor installation the threads of the reused sensor must receive a coating of anti-seize compound gm p/n 12377953 which contains a special anti-seize liquid graphite mixed with glass beads to ease future removal operations. The ho2s installation onto the Exhaust Pipe should be torqued up to 42 n.m (31 lb ft). Connection of the ho2s electrical connector to the engine wiring harness electrical connector must be done while positioning the cpa retainer for later vehicle lowering.
