  A: You must eliminate the grille first then note down the latch's position on the radiator support through pencil marking. First separate the Hood Latch carrier from the radiator support by unfastening bolts which secure the latch to its position. Then disconnect the Hood Latch cable from the mechanism and detach the Hood Latch from the automobile body. Then install the Hood Latch by connecting its cable to the latch before setting the latch at the marked position on the radiator support. Screw the bolts into the radiator support before tightening them to 10 n.m (89 lb in), then attach the Hood Latch support by installing its retaining bolts which must be tightened to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Inspection of the latch operation should occur before reattaching the hood while a striker-hood alignment check will determine if adjustments to alignment are required.
