How to replace the wiper arm on 2007 GMC Canyon?

Start replacing the Wiper Arm by opening the hood and taking off its protective caps before disposing of them. Turn off the Wiper Arm nut to detach it from the arm piece. When the Wiper Arm does not slip off the pivot shaft with basic motion apply the Wiper Arm puller tool (J 39637) to detach it. You should then wipe the Wiper Arm pores clean with a soft-bristled brush. To install a Wiper Arm, put the Wiper Blade on fresh Wiper Arm then remove the blade from the windshield before sliding Wiper Arm over the pivot shaft . Position the Wiper Blade tip over the round blackout area dot and make sure both wipers point to their marked reference points. Securely tighten the Wiper Arm nut to 33 to 38 n.m (24 to 28 lb ft) by keeping the Wiper Blade in place. Place the new Wiper Arm nut covers before shutting the hood properly.
