    Q:
How to replace the windshield wiper arm on Chevrolet Colorado? Posted by Customer
    A:
First open the hood to gain access to the Wiper Arm nut caps which need removal and disposal afterward. The Wiper Arm nut must be unscrewed from its location on the Wiper Arm. When Wiper Arm rocking fails to release it from the shaft, place the Wiper Arm puller (J 39637) tool onto the arm and shaft to finish removal. Spin the soft wire brush on the pivot shaft knurls until they become clean before you disconnect the blade from the Wiper Arm. Put the Wiper Arm blade onto the new Wiper Arm and remove the Wiper Blade from the windshield. Then insert the Wiper Arm onto the Wiper Arm pivot shaft. Guide the Wiper Blade's tip to match the round dot in the windscreen blackout region and keep it at proper placement for both driving side and passenger side blade tips versus their distinctive markers. Use both hands to maintain the wiper position as you apply the Wiper Arm nut which needs to be tightened to 33-38 n.m (24-28 lb.ft). Set the new Wiper Arm nut covers in place before you shut the hood.

    Q:
How to Properly Service and Repair a Wiper Arm on Chevrolet Colorado? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start your task by opening the hood to remove Wiper Arm nut caps before throwing them away. Use your hands to remove the Wiper Arm nut from the arm itself. When Wiper Arm does not loosen from shaft by rocking use j 39637 (Wiper Arm Puller) to take it off. Remove the Wiper Blade from the Wiper Arm and wipe the shaft knurls with a soft brush. Fit the Wiper Blade to the new Wiper Arm then pull the Wiper Blade off the windshield and put on the Wiper Arm to the Wiper Arm support shaft. Position the Wiper Blade tip directly on the round dot inside the windshield blackout area while placing driver side blade tip at driver side alignment dot and passenger side blade tip at passenger side alignment dot. Secure the Wiper Blade with your hands and fasten the Wiper Arm nut by pressing it to 33-38 nm (24-28 lb ft). Put the fresh Wiper Arm nut covers in place and shut the hood.

    Q:
How to replace the wiper arm on GMC Canyon? Posted by Customer
    A:
Access the engine compartment and take off the wiper nut caps before discarding them. Turn off the Wiper Arm's nut to detach it from the Wiper Arm . When the Wiper Arm does not release from the pivot shaft by simple rocking action the Wiper Arm puller (J 39637) should be used for removal. After unwiring the Wiper Arm blade slide it off the Wiper Arm and then brush the pivot shaft knurls using a soft wire brush. You need to place the new Wiper Blade onto the Wiper Arm then lift off the Wiper Blade from the windshield to fit the Wiper Arm onto the pivot shaft. Position the Wiper Blade tip at the round marker of the windshield black area and set the passenger side blade and driver side blade tips directly to the alignment dots on each side. Position the Wiper Blade properly and screw the Wiper Arm nut tightly to 33-38 n.m (24-28 lb ft). Set the hood closed by placing new Wiper Arm nut covers on both sides.

    Q:
How to replace the windshield wiper arm on GMC Canyon? Posted by Customer
    A:
Unlock the hood to remove Wiper Arm nut caps. Then dispose of these caps. We first need to detach the Wiper Arm nut from its current mounting position. Apply a j 39637 (Wiper Arm Puller) to Wiper Arm removal when it stays locked on the pivot shaft because natural rocking does not work. Locate the Wiper Arm blade on the Wiper Arm and take it off for safety. Also remove all dirt from the pivot shaft knurls using a soft brush. Insert the Wiper Arm blade onto the new Wiper Arm then take off the Wiper Blade from the windshield to install the Wiper Arm onto the Wiper Arm pivot shaft . Position the Wiper Blade tip directly above the round dot in the blackened windshield area and place the passenger side blade tip against its alignment dot on the windshield before doing the same for the driver side blade tip. Use a torque wrench to install the Wiper Arm nut reaching 33 to 38 nm torque without losing the Wiper Blade position. Replace the old Wiper Arm covers before securing the hood.
