  A: Begin operations of removing and replacing the air bag clock spring assembly / spiral cable only when the sir system consists of disablement. Start by setting the Steering Column at its center position before undoing the Steering Wheel from its column followed by removing upper and lower trim covers. The inspection of accident damage should be conducted on the Steering Column. When the Steering Wheel has pad control the inflatable restraint Steering Wheel module coil and wire harness assembly must be extracted together. The coil will be removed separately unless it was installed as one piece with the coil and wire harness assembly. Take out the wire harness strap and the wire harness assembly when appropriate.
