How to replace the front drive shaft on 2007 GMC Savana 2500?

Raising the vehicle is the first step toward front propeller shaft replacement. You must record the front propeller shaft u-joint relationship with the differential yoke before you unfasten the retainer bolts and u-joint retainers. The front propeller shaft removal from the front differential requires tapes that connect u-joint bearing caps to avoid their separation while extracting the shaft from the Transfer Case. Install the front propeller shaft into the Transfer Case before removing the tape from the u-joint and double-check that u-joint alignment marks match with those of the yoke. After installing the front propeller shaft inside the differential yoke you must fasten it with retainers and retainer bolts that need torque to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Before lowering the vehicle you should inspect the Transfer Case fluid level and check the front differential fluid level.
