Lower the vehicle.

Raise the vehicle.

Tape the U-Joint bearing caps together.

Remove the propeller shaft from the transfer case if 4WD or from the transmission if 2WD.

Remove the four bolts and one yoke retainer from the rear axle pinion yoke, ensuring not to pound on the yoke ears or use tools between the yoke and the universal joint to avoid damaging the injection joints.

Connect the propeller shaft to the rear axle pinion yoke, ensuring to install the bolts and yoke retainers to the rear axle pinion yoke and tighten them to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).
