How to replace the Blend Door Actuator on 2008 Buick LaCrosse?

The process begins by removing the right side instrument panel insulator followed by removing the I/P compartment. Begin by unfastening the screws which retain the air temperature actuator then cut off its electrical connector. The air temperature actuator needs removal from the HVAC module assembly. Place the air temperature actuator in position by letting the electric actuator driver slots match with shaft flats and the locating hole match with the HVAC module case alignment pin. Push the actuator driver along the shaft until all parts fully engage and HVAC module mounting holes reach case level. Install the screws to the air temperature actuator while tightening them to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in) torque and restore the electrical connection. Reinstall the I/P compartment before putting back the right side I/P insulator. Finally, calibrate the actuator.
