How to replace the steering wheel on 2008 Buick LaCrosse?

Before installing the Steering Wheel users must first disable the sir system followed by turning off the ignition key. Mark the Steering Wheel hub along with its matching slash mark position on the Steering Shaft. Now that the wheel nut is loose extend it to touch the Steering Shaft end. Install the Steering Wheel puller (J 1859-A) together with the Steering Wheel puller legs (J 42578) on the Steering Wheel before using this tool to separate the Steering Wheel from the Steering Shaft. Start by removing the puller tool after you've successfully taken off the Steering Wheel nut and Steering Wheel hardware and separated the sir connector from the wheel base. To install the sir connector feed it through the Steering Wheel then match the scribe mark to the slash mark on the Steering Shaft before installing the Steering Wheel. Follow by installing the Steering Shaft nut but tighten it to 41 n.m (30 lb ft). Return the inflatable restraint Steering Wheel module to its position then turn the sir system back on. Inspection of the horn along with the Steering Wheel components and their controls ends the procedure.
