How to replace the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) for Bank 2 Sensor 1 on 2008 Cadillac CTS?

Begin replacement of the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) for Bank 2 Sensor 1 only if the ignition is OFF. The sight shield on fuel injectors must be uninstalled if it prohibits access to the job. Lift the vehicle and disconnect the electrical connector of the HO2S while removing it from its position within the wiring harness bracket. The process becomes simpler for removing the engine component when operating temperatures exceed 48°C (120°F). Use caution during HO2S extraction while avoiding damage to the connector and pigtail which are factory-attached. The new HO2S requires the application of anti-seize compound P/N 5613695 or equivalent compound on its threads during sensor installation in cases when using previously removed sensors. Fasten the HO2S with a torque of 40 N.m (30 lb ft). After reconnecting the HO2S electrical connector to the wiring harness bracket and lowering the vehicle you should reinstall the fuel injector sight shield provided that you had to remove it.
