How to replace the Knock Sensor (KS) on Bank 1 on 2008 Cadillac CTS?

Before starting the Bank 1 Knock Sensor (KS) replacement method first turn off the ignition and elevate and stabilize the vehicle. Access the wiring harness heat shield then disconnect the KS electrical connector and remove the KS bolt before removing the KS. Install the new KS while following the Fastener Notice for handling instructions. First tighten the KS bolt to 23 N.m torque before reconnecting the KS electrical connector while replacing the wiring harness heat shield properly and lowering the vehicle.
