Begin by turning off the ignition and supporting the vehicle before proceeding with the Knock Sensor for Bank 2 replacement. You need to first remove the wiring harness heat shield that covers the oil level indicator tube so you can access it. Then disconnect the knock sensor electrical connector while removing its bolt to separate the knock sensor from the rest of the system. For installation follow the Fastener Notice guidelines while precisely positioning the new KS. Install the bolt onto the KS, tightening it to 23 N.m (17 lb ft) and then connect the KS electrical connector before replacing the wiring harness heat shield on the oil level indicator tube while lowering the vehicle.
