How to replace the Coolant Temperature Sensor on Cadillac CTS?

In order to take out the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor, let the engine first cool down to avoid high losses and personal slights. Firstly, turn off the ignition, and then unplug the electrical connector of the coolant temperature sensor. Next, you remove the coolant temperature sensor. For installation, place a new coolant temperature sensor and tighten it to 22 N.m (16 lb ft) as per the Fastener Notice in Service Precautions. Reconnect the electrical connector for the coolant temperature sensor and check the coolant level in the cooling system, which may need to be filled up.
