    Q:
How to replace the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) for Bank 1 Sensor 1 on Cadillac CTS? Posted by Customer
    A:
Before installing the heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) for bank 1 sensor 1 turn off the ignition and detach the ho2s electrical connection before taking out the sensor from its harness bracket. The replacement process becomes simpler if the engine temperature reaches 48°c (120°F). After removing the Catalytic Converter from the system move on to the ho2s extraction. New oxygen sensors require special anti-seize compound on their threads before installation. The original sensor requires gm p/n 5613695 anti-seize compound or a similar product for application. Put the ho2s into position on the Catalytic Converter before applying 40 n.m (30 lb ft) of torque. The vehicle needs to be lowered as you need to connect the ho2s electrical connector to the wiring harness bracket. Once that is done reconnect the ho2s electrical connector.

    Q:
How to replace the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) for Bank 2 Sensor 2 on the LC3 engine on Cadillac STS? Posted by Customer
    A:
First replace the heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) for bank 2 sensor 2 on the lc3 engine by disassembling the engine sight shield and windshield wiper module while keeping in mind that the sensor exists on the left side of the driver position and resides as the second exhaust sensor from the front toward the rear of the vehicle. Disconnect the Oxygen Sensor electrical connector from engine wiring harness at the back left head position while writing down the connection route and attachment references to recreate the assembly. While supporting the automobile from above disconnect the oxygen detector from its Exhaust Pipe location. When installing the new heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) users should mount it to the Exhaust Pipe after applying special anti-seize compound p/n 5613695 or equivalent to threads. Tighten the sensor to 42 n.m (31 lb ft). Follow the wiring steps performed during the disassembly procedure when attaching the wires and drop the vehicle before reuniting the Oxygen Sensor electrical connector with the engine wiring harness at the back of the left head. Afterward, reinstall the windshield wiper module assembly and the engine sight shield.
