From a driver's perspective bank 2 corresponds to the lh2 engine's left compartment while sensor 1 represents the sensor that stands at the front end of the vehicle. The threads require a unique anti-seize compound before installation. Service sensors enter as pre-coated units but any reused sensors need to receive anti-seize compound p-n 5613695 or equivalent before use. The first step involves taking out the fuel injector sight shield and disconnecting the Oxygen Sensor electrical connector which links to the engine wiring harness at the rear of the left head. Note all wire routing and attachment points since they will be important for reassembling. Start by lifting the vehicle before extracting the Oxygen Sensor from the Exhaust Manifold.
