How to replace the Heated Oxygen Sensor - Bank 1 Sensor 1 in a 2500 Series on 2008 Cadillac Escalade ESV?

To change the heeded Oxygen Sensor - bank 1 sensor 1 (2500 Series), first, raise and support the vehicle. Split the front propeller shaft if the vehicle encounters four-wheel drive. Remove the connector position assurance (CPA) retainer and disconnect the ho2s electrical connector from the engine wiring harness. Then, remove the ho2s. During the installation, use a specific anti-seize compound on the ho2s threads that is made of liquid graphite and glass beads; new or service replacement sensors are pre-coated with this compound. If the old sensor is to be reinstalled, start with coating the threads using anti-seize compound gm p/n 12377953 or a similar one. The ho2s (Engine Knock Sensor) then should be installed and fastened with 42 n.m (31 lb ft). Next, plug the ho2s to the engine wiring harness, the cpa retainer, reattach the front propeller shaft to the front Differential if the car is 4wd and lower the vehicle.
