How to Safely Remove and Install the Ignition Lock Cylinder on 2008 Cadillac SRX?

In order to change the ignition switch lock cylinder, remove the negative battery cable. Choose the ignition to start, by awl in pommel of trim access, then by pressing the release button. Take out the lock cylinder, fit it into position with the lock module and press until it clips.
