The first step when replacing the Mass Air Flow Sensor/intake Air Temperature Sensor is to switch off ignition power and unplug the Mass Air Flow Sensor (MAF) electrical connector. Start by removing the air cleaner intake duct before taking off the maf sensor fasteners. Remove the maf sensor with its maf sensor seal while discarding the previous seal installation. Position the new maf sensor seal and maf sensor in their designated place while installing maf sensor screws and binding them tight at 4 n.m (35 lb in). After installing the new maf electrical connector you should replace the air cleaner intake duct and fasten the maf sensor.
