    Q:
How to replace the Mass Air Flow Sensor/intake air temperature sensor on Cadillac SRX? Posted by Customer
    A:
The replacement process for Mass Air Flow Sensor/intake Air Temperature Sensor involves disconnecting the electrical connector and removing the air cleaner outlet duct. You should handle the Mass Air Flow Sensor delicately while removing the mass air flow/iat sensor screws to avoid both sensor damage and falling as well as damage to the screen on the air inlet end. The sensing elements must be free from all contact by both hands or solvents and lubricants while you only need to brush the sensor with soap solution for installation. You should take off the mass air flow/iat sensor from the air cleaner housing cover while also throwing out the mass air flow/iat sensor gasket. The Mass Air Flow Sensor should be handled meticulously during both installation and placement steps where a new mass air flow/iat sensor gasket must be applied before mounting the mass air flow/iat sensor inside the air cleaner housing cover properly. Finish the installation by screwing mass air flow/iat sensor screws to 4 n.m (35 lb in) and replacing air cleaner outlet duct before reconnecting mass air flow/iat sensor electrical connector.

    Q:
How to replace the Mass Air Flow Sensor with the Intake Air Temperature Sensor on Chevrolet Traverse? Posted by Customer
    A:
The installation process for intake Air Temperature Sensor starts with removing the air cleaner outlet duct. First disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the Mass Air Flow Sensor/intake air temperature (IAT) sensor then take out the Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor by removing its screws while moving the sensor from the air cleaner assembly. Next remove the Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor seal. Before installing the Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor attach its corresponding Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor seal to the Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor. Afterward replace the Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor within the air cleaner assembly. Mount the Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor screws into place before securing them to a torque of 4 nm (35 lb in). Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor before putting back the air cleaner outlet duct.
