How to replace the Mass Air Flow Sensor on 2009 Chevrolet Equinox?

The air flow meter requires replacement by beginning with air cleaner intake duct removal. You must disconnect the electrical connector of the air flow meter (MAF) sensor before unscrewing the maf from its position on the air cleaner assembly. When working on the maf removal from the air cleaner assembly carefully disconnect the maf while also discarding the maf to air cleaner assembly seal. Proceed with installation by applying the maf seal to its component first then reinstall the maf within the air cleaner assembly. Use the provided screws to secure the maf to the air cleaner assembly before tightening them to 4 nm (35 lb in). Install the air cleaner intake duct as the last step.
