You need to use gasket remover (J 28410) and clean the sealing surfaces with caution. Start by removing the Thermostat Housing bolts and Thermostat and proceed to remove both components with their attached heater pipes and hoses and bolts. Install heater pipes and hoses on the new Thermostat Housing before placing a new gasket and torque a few bolts to lock the gasket in place. Secure the Thermostat Housing with heater pipes along with gasket and bolts while tightening the hardware to 20 n.m (15 lb-ft). End your work by putting the Thermostat in place and restating the connections of heater hoses to their core position.
