Afterward route the piece of string around the Hood Cable for simpler routing through the vehicle compartment. Start by removing the Hood Cable grommet from the wheel opening. Then extract the Hood Cable from within the vehicle. Installation requires moving the string to both ends of the new Hood Cable before guiding it inside the passenger compartment where you remove the string. Position the Hood Cable grommet into the wheel opening before connecting the Hood Cable to the hood release handle.
