  • Q: How to replace the Camshaft Position Sensor on 2008 Chevrolet Aveo?
A: Begin sensor replacement work by disconnecting the negative cable of the battery. Begin by uninstalling the engine cover bolts along with nuts before removing the cover completely. First you should disconnect the electrical connector of the camshaft position (CMP) sensor and remove the timing belt front cover. During cmp sensor installation apply the bolt and tighten it to 7 n.m (62 lb in). First put back the timing belt front cover while reconnecting the cmp sensor electrical connector then replace the engine cover. Reattach the negative Battery Cable as a last step.
