Start the repair process on the rear door check by making sure the vehicle ignition is OFF with the key already removed because SIR deployment and personal injury scenarios become possible. Start the procedure by taking out the rear door trim panel along with the rear door lower speaker. Through the speaker opening, remove the check link from the door after you uninstall its hinge pillar bolts and door frame nuts. The check link mounting starts by fastening it to the door frame while strictly adhering to the Fastener Notice. Fasten the check link nuts with a torque of 10 N.m until they reach 89 lb in while performing the same procedure for check link bolts before installing the rear door lower speaker and trim panel. Reinstall the rear door lower speaker and then put back the rear door trim panel.
