For replacing the air conditioning (A/C) low pressure switch, start with a leak test of the fittings using the halogen leak detector (J 39400-A) after you've finished the installation. The first step is to take off the low pressure switch electrical connector , pull the low pressure switch out of the accumulator, and take off the o-ring seal. After that, put a new o-ring seal on the switch, then attach the a/c low pressure switch to the accumulator and tighten it to 4 n.m (35 lb in). When you are done, attach the low pressure switch electrical connector.
