How to Replace A/C Compressor Cut-Out Switches on Chevrolet Express 2500?

The first step for a/c high pressure switch replacement requires refrigerant extraction from the a/c system. Check and clean the surrounding area of the control a/c high pressure switch before removing its snap ring. The connector of the a/c high pressure switch should be detached first after which the j 5403 snap ring pliers (J 5403) will be used to take out the snap ring. The j 9553-01 o-ring remover (J 9553-01) should be used to remove the old o-ring seal from the switch cavity of the compressor-high pressure a/c switch. Check the switch cavity along with the o-ring groove in the rear head for any foreign material and dirt and clean it when needed. The installation process requires application of new 525 viscosity refrigerant oil to the o-ring which should then be placed inside the switch cavity groove. The same oil should be used to lubricate the control switch housing before the switch installation into the cavity until it leaves enough space at the edge of the cavity. Install the snap ring with j 5403 snap ring pliers (J 5403) by greeting the high point of curved sides against the switch housing before placing it in the retaining groove. The a/c system evacuation and recharging process should finish with j 39400-a halogen leak detector (J 39400-A) evaluations of component fittings.
