How to Replace the Rear Brake Disc (Except Dual Wheels) on 2008 Chevrolet Express 2500?

First raise the vehicle and release the parking brake before replacing the Brake Disc on the rear axle except for dual-wheel setups. Before moving forward unfasten the wheel alongside its tire and put marks over the disc's alignment to the hub. The brake caliper pistons require compression using a c-clamp tool j 2619-01 for proper caliper removal. Use mechanic wire to securely hold the caliper to avoid breaking the hydraulic brake hose. Separate the brake caliper and bracket assembly at once then remove the disc retaining push nuts when needed. The disc removal tool j-46277 fits onto slide hammer j 2619-01 to help extract the disc when it does not come off easily. Check park brake components for harm before replacing damaged components. Prepare the hub flange surface by following the included steps in wheel hub resurfacing kit (J 42450-A) and disc resurfacing kit (J 41013). Position and put in the disc piece taking care no dirt stays trapped. After adding the disc during brake maintenance calculate lro precision and adjust it when needed. Put the caliper and bracket assembly along with threadlocker gm p/n 12345493 (Canadian P/N 10953488) before tightening caliper bracket bolts according to vehicle type specifications.
