How to replace the rear brake line (Caliper) on 2008 Chevrolet Express 2500?

To install the new brake hose at the rear caliper you need to lift and support the car and replace the tire and wheel assembly first. Put a cover on the brake pipe opening after spraying it clean of unwanted material to protect the brake fluid from leaving or entering. Apply a back up wrench to the brake fitting end and take off the brake hose from the brake pipe end connecting them. Put a cap on this end throughout the work. Unclip the brake hose and pull it off from the bracket before removing the brake caliper bolt on the caliper. Take out the stuck 2 copper brake hose gaskets found between the brake caliper housing and the brake hose end. Build brand new copper brake hose gaskets and slide the brake hose bolt onto the hose before inserting the hose assembly to the caliper bolt plus installing two new washers to the caliper unit. Tighten the bolt to 44 n.m (33 lb ft). Position the brake hose properly without twisting it next to any suspension components. Secure the brake hose into the mounting bracket space and the brake hose stop using the papers provided. Screw the brake hose back up wrench through a rubber cap from the brake pipe opening until it meets the brake hose end. Keep all brackets attached during installation and torque to 18 lb ft (25 N.m). Before setting the new wheel put air through the hydraulic brake system and after verify the brake hose stays safely away from suspension parts and tire components. Finally, lower the vehicle.
