How to replace the rear brake line (Caliper) on 2009 Chevrolet Express 2500?

Prepare vehicle service by lifting and supporting it. Also remove tire and wheel to work on the brake hose (Caliper). Install a rubber plug on the brake pipe fitting to avoid brake fluid loss and external contamination before cleaning dirt from this unit and its matching port. Insert a back up wrench to remove the brake pipe connection on the brake hose end followed by plugging the pipe end that you disconnected. Unclip the brake hose retaining mount to remove it from the bracket. Pull out the brake hose from both components and the brake hose bolt from the brake caliper. Take out and dispose of two copper brake hose gaskets that may be bonded to the brake caliper or the brake hose. Secure two copper brake hose gaskets along with the brake hose bolt onto the brake hose. Align the brake hose to caliper bolt and attach 2 new washers on the brake caliper before tightening their threads to 44 nm (33 lb ft). Ensure the brake hose remains straight without touching suspension components during this process. Put the brake hose into its two bracket locations and attach the retention clip. Push out the rubber cap from the brake pipe end and attach the brake hose through a back up wrench. Tighten the connection to 25 nm (18 lb ft) without disturbing the mounting bracket or brake pipe. Put hydraulic brake fluid out then place the tire and wheel assembly in place but make sure the brake hose stays away from suspension parts and from touching the tire/wheel components. Replace the brake hose if it touches either part. Finally, lower the vehicle.
