How to Replace a Rear Brake Line (Jounce) Safely and Effectively on 2007 Chevrolet Express 2500?

Begin by lifting and sustaining the vehicle before taking off the tire and wheel unit today. Pressurize the brake system to clean all debris away from the brake hose and brake pipe fittings. Use a back up wrench at one end of the hose to separate the brake pipe fitting from the brake hose before plugging the pipe. Unclip the brake hose from its mounting bracket and remove the jounce hose. Before pulling out, seal the open brake pipe fittings with rubber caps to stop fluid loss and deterioration. Then free the brake hose attachment bolt from the brake caliper to take out 2 stuck copper gaskets from either the caliper housing or brake hose end. Put two new copper brake hose gaskets and bolt together into the brake hose end. After that, fit the brake hose back to the caliper bolt by attaching two pieces of new washer onto the caliper. Tighten the bolt to 44 n.m (32 lb ft) torque with the brake hose kept straight and away from suspension parts. Fix the brake hose on its bracket and take off the rubber cap from the brake pipe fitting. Use a back up wrench to attach the brake fitting to the hose while twisting it to 25 n.m (18 lb ft) without hurting either part. Attach the brake hose retaining clip to its bracket before inspecting if the hose stays away from all suspension components. Afterward, complete the brake system bleed and return the vehicle to the ground.
