2007 Chevrolet Express 2500 Wheel Bearing Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the rear wheel bearing, hub, and seal on a rear-wheel drive on 2007 Chevrolet Express 2500?
A: Before starting work on a rear-wheel drive vehicle you need to lift the vehicle for support and remove the tire wheel rotor from front to back. Unscrew the Wheel Speed Sensor mounting bolt first then take out the Wheel Speed Sensor from the Wheel Hub and bearing. Take the Wheel Hub and bearing off by removing all of the Steering Knuckle bolts. Also remove the splash shield and bearing from the knuckle. Apply Wheel Bearing grease in the Steering Knuckle bore before eliminating all corrosion and dirt from both components. Place the Wheel Hub and bearing assembly in the Steering Knuckle and add its bolted connections before tightening all Wheel Hub bolts to 180 n.m (133 lb ft). Install the Wheel Speed Sensor onto the Wheel Hub and bearing then fasten it with the retaining bolt up to 18 n.m (13 lb ft). Put back the rotor, tire, and wheel after lowering the vehicle into its normal position.
