    Q:
How to replace the front wheel hub, bearing, and seal on a rear-wheel drive on Chevrolet Express 2500? Posted by Customer
    A:
You must first lift and support the vehicle before taking out its tire and wheel to swap its front Wheel Hub, bearing, and seal on a rear-wheel drive vehicle. Unbolt the Wheel Speed Sensor from its location to take the sensor away from the Wheel Hub and bearing. Take all bolts out from the Wheel Hub and bearing assembly then pull off its components including the Steering Knuckle shield. Scrub all damage and dirt from the Steering Knuckle's bore as well as hub in bearing parts. Apply wheel bearing grease or alternative to the Steering Knuckle bore. Fit the Wheel Hub and bearing together with splash shield onto the Steering Knuckle. Make sure you follow the fastener instructions at this step. Fortify the Wheel Hub and bearing attachment bolts at 180 n.m (133 lb ft) torque. Fix the Wheel Speed Sensor to its position on the Wheel Hub and bearing while twisting the retaining bolt to 18 n.m (13 lb ft). Put back the rotor followed by the tire and wheel then lower the vehicle.

    Q:
What Tools Are Required to Replace the Rear Wheel Bearing, Hub, Cup, and Seal on GMC Sierra 1500? Posted by Customer
    A:
When repairing the rear drive axle hub assembly the technician needs j 8092 j 2222-c j 24426 j 24427 j 44419 and j 44420 tools. Before working commence by suspending the vehicle and taking out the tire and wheel parts before uninstalling the brake caliper and Axle Shaft. Take the j 2222-c to detach the axle nut retaining ring, key, and adjusting nut. Subsequently pull off the adjusting nut and hub from the axle housing and unzip the rotor when needed. A special seal-removal tool should be used to take out the Wheel Hub oil seal and then you should remove the inner hub bearing and its cup using a brass drift and hammer. Push out the Wheel Hub's retaining ring and then take away the outer hub bearing and bearing cup through j 24426 and j 8092. Apply ep-bearings lubrication to both bearings inside and outside wheel hubs along with their cups and axle housing. Push the Wheel Hub cup between the j 44419 and j 8092 before inserting the outer bearing and cup into the Wheel Hub. Screw the inner bearing cup into place with the j 24427 and j 8092 tools as the retaining ring sits fully in its groove. The j 44420 and j 8092 tools are needed to put in both the inner bearing and oil seal. Replacing the oil seal during this step safeguards against leaks. Put back the rotor if needed then put axle housing lubricant onto spindle and fix Wheel Hub to axle housing. To install and set wheel bearings use tool j 2222-c to adjust the nut. Reassemble all the parts except for the axle lubricant which should be checked and added if required then gently set the vehicle down.

    Q:
How to replace the rear axle hub, wheel bearing, cup, or seal on GMC Savana 2500? Posted by Customer
    A:
You need the following tools to replace the rear axle hub components including bearing cup and seal and hub: j8092 universal driver handle (J8092) along with j2222-c Wheel Bearing nut wrench (J2222-C) and j24426 Wheel Bearing race installer-outer (J24426) and j24427 Wheel Bearing race installer-inner (J24427) and j44419 hub outer bearing race installer (J44419) and j44420 differential side bearing installer (J44420). The required tools for hub bearing and cup and seal installation include j8092 universal driver handle (J8092), j2222-c Wheel Bearing nut wrench (J2222-C), j24426 Wheel Bearing race installer-outer (J24426), j24427 Wheel Bearing race installer-inner (J24427), j44419 hub outer bearing race installer (J44419), and j44420 differential side bearing installer (J44420). The process starts with vehicle lifting to remove tire wheels then shifting to Brake Drum and Axle Shaft extraction. Start by using the j2222-c to remove the axle nut retaining ring along with the key and adjusting nut. Following this step extract the hub from its placement in the axle housing, then carefully extract the oil seal inner hub bearing and inner hub bearing cup using a brass drift assisted by hammer. First remove the retaining ring from the Wheel Hub then install the j24426 and j8092 to extract the outer hub bearing and bearing cup from the wheel assembly. Use a high melting point extreme pressure bearing lubricant to lubricate both wheel bearings and their cups and the axle housing. Use j44419 and j8092 to drive the Wheel Hub's bearing cup into place while adding the outer bearing and cup. After ensuring the retaining ring sits properly in its groove install the inner bearing cup using the j24427 and j8092. To avoid leaks install the inner bearing alongside a fresh oil seal while using the j44420 and j8092 tools. Use j2222-c along with the adjusting nut while reattaching the Wheel Hub to the axle housing and adjusting wheel bearings before reinstalling the Axle Shaft followed by Brake Drum and tire and wheel assembly. Checking the axle housing for required lubricant before placing the vehicle back into position.

    Q:
How to replace the Wheel Hub, Bearing, and Seal on a rear-wheel drive on GMC Savana 2500? Posted by Customer
    A:
Once the vehicle stands secure and lifted start by taking off the tire followed by the wheel and rotor to access the Wheel Hub bearing and seal on a rear-wheel drive vehicle. You should take out the Wheel Speed Sensor mounting bolt to extract the Wheel Speed Sensor from the Wheel Hub and bearing. Use the right tools to extract the Wheel Hub and bearing alongside the splash shield from the Steering Knuckle. Apply wheel bearing grease or equivalent into the Steering Knuckle bore then wipe away all rust or dirt from within the Steering Knuckle bore and hub bearing. Put the Wheel Hub and bearing into its place on the Steering Knuckle while observing fastener instructions. Secure the Wheel Hub and bearing mounting bolts at 180 n.m (133 lb ft). The speed sensor mounts back into the Wheel Hub and bearing as you tighten its bolt to 18 n.m (13 lb ft). Once complete place back the rotor then fasten wheel and tire assembly while letting the vehicle rest on the ground.
