A: When replacing the front Wheel Hub assembly on a rear-wheel drive vehicle you must lift it up and anchor it followed by removing the tire and wheel first the rotor next. First remove the Wheel Speed Sensor from the Wheel Hub and bearing area by taking out the sensor mounting bolt. Take off the Wheel Hub and bearing mounting bolts before pulling out the Wheel Hub and bearing with the splash shield attached from the Steering Knuckle. Before putting the parts together clean contamination from the Steering Knuckle bore and hub interior. Apply Wheel Bearing grease to the Steering Knuckle opening. Connect the Wheel Hub with bearing and splash shield to the Steering Knuckle while installing and tightening the Wheel Hub and bearing mounting bolts to 180 nm (133 ft. Lbs.). Thread the Wheel Speed Sensor through the Wheel Hub and bearing before fastening it with the retaining bolt to 18 nm torque. Reattach the rotor then wheel tire then put the vehicle back in its normal position.
