The first step to replace the engine coolant fan lower shroud for 4.3l, 4.8l, 5.3l, 6.0l, 6.2l, 7.0l engines starts with disconnecting the coolant recovery reservoir. Start the procedure by removing the air cleaner assembly that matches with the engine model. First remove both Fan Shroud bolts (1,3,4) and afterward uninstall the Fan Shroud (2,5). You should start installation by positioning the Fan Shroud (2,5) while following the fastener notice. Secure the Fan Shroud bolts by tightening them to 6 n.m (53 lb in) as per the installation procedure. Following engine specifications you should install the air cleaner assembly then return the coolant recovery reservoir.
