Attach a string to the Hood Cable so you can pull it through the passenger area before you remove both the Hood Cable grommet and the Hood Cable from the vehicle. To install new hood cables, feed the string through both ends of the cables and guide them through the passenger area before removing the string. Fit the Hood Cable grommet into the cowl as the next step while you attach the Hood Cable to the hood release handle before reinstalling the left hinge pillar trim.
