  Start your hood primary latch cable replacement project by opening the hood and extracting the Hood Latch. After removing the left hinge pillar trim you must disconnect the Hood Cable from both the Hood Latch and hood release handle. The installation process becomes easier when stringing the Hood Cable then extracting the Hood Cable grommet from the wheel opening before removing the cable from the vehicle. When installing the cable route the string from one end to the other while guiding both ends into the passenger area and then remove the string. Set the Hood Cable grommet position inside the cowl and lock the Hood Cable onto the hood release handle. After connecting the left hinge pillar trim install the Hood Cable into the engine bay by pulling the string. Then extract both objects from the engine bay by removing the string. Put the Hood Latch back into place before you finish by closing the hood.
