How to replace the positive battery cable on 2008 Chevrolet Malibu?

Before starting replacement of the positive Battery Cable disconnect the negative Battery Cable and raise the vehicle by using supports. The first step for positive Battery Cable replacement is to disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the Starter before removing the positive Battery Cable to Starter motor nut along with the positive Battery Cable lead from the Starter motor. Lower the vehicle first and then take out the positive Battery Cable clip from the oil level indicator tube bracket. You can access the positive Battery Cable cover after freeing the two side retaining tabs and remove its extension cable nut and lead from the positive cable terminal. The operator should start by removing the underhood bussed electrical connector (UBEC) cover and freeing up the integral bolt located on the positive Battery Cable lead before taking away the lead from the ubec. Cut off the securing tape on the positive Battery Cable and detach the cable from the battery after loosening the positive cable nut. The correct path for the positive Battery Cable assembly needs acknowledgment before taking it out. You should arrange the new positive Battery Cable adjacent to the negative Battery Cable before applying new tape for security. Establish the position of the positive Battery Cable assembly while retrieving it. Finally secure the positive Battery Cable to the battery by tightening its nut to 10 n.m (89 lb in).
