How to replace the positive battery cable for the LE5 (2.4L Non Hybrid) on 2009 Chevrolet Malibu?

The first step to replace the battery positive cable for the le5 (2.4L Non Hybrid) involves disconnecting the negative Battery Cable. You should begin by unscrewing the positive Battery Cable nut then remove the positive Battery Cable from the battery. The first step requires loosening the junction block positive Battery Cable bolt before extracting the cable from the block. After that, remove the battery tray positive cable clip together with the tape holding the negative cable to the positive cable. The vehicle should be raised for support before the positive Battery Cable nut from the Starter Solenoid and the positive Battery Cable from the Starter Solenoid are removed. Start by installing the positive Battery Cable followed by vehicle elevation then connection of the positive Battery Cable to the Starter Solenoid. Fasten the positive Battery Cable nut to the Starter Solenoid before securing it with a torque of 10 nm (89 lb in). You must lower the vehicle after which you should mount the positive Battery Cable onto the junction block and fasten its bolt with 10 nm (89 lb in) torque. Peel back the positive clip which fits onto the battery tray, wrap the negative cable around the positive cable and use tape for securing it before setting the positive cable in place adjacent to the battery and tightening its nut to 10 nm (89 lb in). The last step involves connecting the negative Battery Cable.
