How to Replace a Drive Belt Using the EN-48932 Hydraulic Belt Tensioner Compressor on 2008 Chevrolet Malibu?

The replacement of the Drive Belt begins by taking out the air cleaner assembly. The en-48932 tool should be fit to the Drive Belt tensioner spring before completing a full compression using this same tool. Initially you must detach the tensioner spring bolts before you can remove the tensioner spring itself. Users should take off the Drive Belt from under the middle idler pulley before removing it from the vehicle. The new Drive Belt must first be positioned around all pulleys except the middle idler pulley before putting the tensioner spring onto the tensioner. Install the tensioner spring bolts on the Drive Belt tensioner and fasten them with torques at 22 n.m (16 lb ft). Set the Drive Belt beneath the middle idler pulley and loosen the forcing bolt from the en-48932 for removing the Drive Belt tensioner spring. Position the Drive Belt properly around all pulleys after checking that the Drive Belt tensioner idler sits completely against the Drive Belt. The procedure ends with reinstallation of the air cleaner assembly.
