  A: A vehicle support system allows personnel to start the replacement of front parking brake cables. Open the locknut on the equalizer while releasing tension on the park brake cable. Then take off the front cable from its connection to the rear cable. Compression of the locking tabs located on the cable conduit will allow you to remove the front cable from the bracket. The left side instrument panel insulator panel should be removed first followed by the driver side front carpet retainer and then the two nuts holding the driver footrest. You can reach the front park brake cable routing clip by lifting the driver floor carpet then release this clip from the floor stud and pass-through grommet.
