You should first take out the right closeout/insulator panel before replacing the blower motor resistor. Separate the blower motor resistor electrical connector, then take out the mounting screws before you remove the resistor. Begin installing by putting the blower motor resistor in place and paying attention to the Fastener Notice. After that, screw in the blower motor resistor mounting screws and tighten them to 1.9 N.m (17 lb in). Re-attach the blower motor resistor electrical connector and put the right closeout/insulator panel back in.
