How to replace the right side engine mount on 2008 GMC Sierra 1500?

The first step to replace the right side Engine Mount involves removing the Engine Mount to Engine Mount Bracket fasteners. First elevate the vehicle properly while using mounting support then disassemble the oil pan skid plate bolts along with its protective plate. An adjustable jack needs to be used on the square engine block tab at the rear to raise the engine after Starter detachment. The next step includes the removal of Engine Mount bolts and the Engine Mount as a whole. You must also remove the Engine Mount side bracket bolts and bracket before proceeding to uninstall the Engine Mount Bracket along with its bracket. The first step for installation involves placing the Engine Mount Bracket while using threadlocker gm p/n 12345382 (Canadian P/N 10953489) for the mounting bolts before tightening them to 75 n.m (55 lb ft). The Engine Mount side bracket needs to be placed back onto the engine before installing bolts which should be tightened to 50 n.m (37 lb ft). After installation of the Engine Mount with its bolts at 50 n.m (37 lb ft) torque, lower the engine to reinstall the Starter before completing the procedure. The next step involves attaching the oil pan skid plate with its bolts tightened at 20 n.m (15 lb ft). Once finished lower the vehicle so we can install the Engine Mount to Engine Mount Bracket bolts before securing them with 65 n.m (48 lb ft) torque restrictions.
