Q: How to replace the intake manifold (500) for the RPO L92 - Second Design (6.2L) on 2008 GMC Yukon?
A: To replace the Intake Manifold (500) for the rpo l92 second design (6.2L), first remove the air cleaner outlet duct and the generator. Remove the retainer nut from the engine harness retainer and remove the retainer from the stud and locator pin. Remove the engine harness electrical connectors from the evap canister purge solenoid, manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor, ignition coil harness, left side fuel injectors, throttle actuator, right side fuel injectors, and engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor. Collect the engine harness branches and mount them to the cowl panel. Move the brake booster vacuum hose clamp and disconnect the vacuum hose from the booster fitting attaching it to the Intake Manifold. It must disconnect evap canister purge tube and evap fuel feed line quick connect fittings and evap canister and remove the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose. Loosen the Intake Manifold bolts (512) and remove the Intake Manifold (500), which should cover the cylinder head passages to avoid debris entry. Discard the Intake Manifold gaskets (514), and on replacing the manifold, reposition the brake booster vacuum hose clamp and remove the vacuum hose from the manifold nipple, and remove the upper Intake Manifold cover and MAP Sensor. Pull out the Throttle Body and Fuel Rail, while disposing of the Throttle Body Gasket and Fuel Injector lower o-ring seals. For an installation, if the Intake Manifold was replaced, attach the brake booster vacuum hose nipple to the new manifold and install the Fuel Rail with new o-ring seals and lubricate the injectors with clean engine oil and fasten the bolts to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Replace a new Throttle Body Gasket, the Throttle Body and its bolts/nuts, which should be tightened up to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Reattach evap tube and purge solenoid, connect the evap tubequick connect fitting, lube MAP Sensor seal, and install MAP Sensor and retainer. Install the upper Intake Manifold cover with nut tight, then install the brake booster vacuum hose to the Intake Manifold nipple, and tighten it. Replace the new Intake Manifold gaskets (514), and the Intake Manifold (500), rotate the bolts (512) to 5 n.m (44 lb in), then another 10 n.m (89 lb in). Reconnect the pcv hose, fuel feed line, and the evap canister purge tube. Reattach the brake booster vacuum hose to booster fitting, uatide engine harness branches, and connect electrical connectors at point ect sensor , right side fuel units, throttle actuator, igniter coil harness. Install the cpa retainers (1 and 2), connect the MAP Sensor , and evap canister purge solenoid, and secure the engine harness retainer using nut, tighten to 5 n.m (44 lb in). Last but not least, reinstall the generator and air cleaner outlet duct.
