  • Q: How to replace the engine oil pressure switch on 2008 GMC Yukon?
A: When replacing the engine oil pressure sensor or switch, remove the Intake Manifold first. Then, disconnect the engine harness electrical connector from the oil pressure sensor. It is necessary to remove the oil pressure sensor (706) and washer (707), using the Oil Pressure Switch socket (J 41712). For miking, apply sealant to the threads of the new oil pressure sensor. If this is a car that has the active fuel management, fix the oil pressure sensor (706) and the washer (707) into place by fitting them with the Oil Pressure Switch socket (J 41712) and tightening the sensor into place with the help of 35 n.m (26 lb ft). In the absence of active fuel management, follow the same procedure. Lastly, connect the engine harness electrical connector to the oil pressure sensor and fix sensor to 35 n.m (26 lb ft) before re-installing the Intake Manifold.
