• Q: How to replace the ignition coil for Bank 2 on 2009 Cadillac DTS?

  A: Before taking out the Bank 2 ignition coil, you should first take off the fuel injector sight shield. If changing the ignition coil assembly, take out the bolts after disconnecting the connector to the ignition coil assembly and remove the whole assembly. If you are working on just one ignition coil, start by removing the ignition coil electrical connector , take out the ignition coil bolt , and remove the ignition coil. During installation, if you are working on the ignition coil assembly, put it in place and tighten all the bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb in). Join the engine harness connector to the ignition coil assembly, put the ignition coil in place and screw on its bolt until it reaches a 10 Nm (89 lb in) tightening. At the end, join the individual ignition coil connector and restore the fuel injector sight shield into place.
