2009 Cadillac SRX A/C Accumulator Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to replace the A/C Accumulator on 2009 Cadillac SRX?
A: Refrigerant recovery must precede the procedure of raising and supporting the vehicle before moving forward with A/C Accumulator replacement. Start by extracting the front air deflector retainers together with the front air deflector unit from the vehicle. Before removing the A/C Accumulator, users must detach its plug and note PAG oil displacement to preserve system oil quantity. After positioning the A/C Accumulator correctly, replace it with lubricant on the O-ring of the A/C Accumulator plug. Place the A/C Accumulator plug on and tighten it to 2.9 Nm (26 lb in). Next, reinstall both the front air deflector along with its retainers before you lower the vehicle. The system requires the right amount of oil before the refrigerant evacuation and recharging procedure takes place. A J 39400-A Halogen Leak Detector must be used to perform a leak test on the component fittings.
