The installation process begins with the removal of auxiliary A/C Expansion Valve assembly bolts followed by removal of the auxiliary A/C Expansion Valve from the auxiliary Evaporator during which time discard the o-rings. New o-rings need to be installed onto the auxiliary A/C Expansion Valve assembly before its installation. Fastener caution must be followed when installing the auxiliary A/C Expansion Valve onto the Evaporator so no damage occurs to the vehicle. Secure auxiliary A/C Expansion Valve bolts to the auxiliary Evaporator and tighten them to 3.5 nm (31 lb in) and then reinstall the auxiliary Evaporator to the auxiliary hvac module.
