• Q: How to replace the ignition coil for Bank 1 on 2009 Cadillac SRX?

  A: Remove the engine cover without disconnecting the fuel pipes or hoses, first turn off the ignition. If replacing Ignition Coil for cylinder 1 or 3, remove and reposition the Intake Manifold by removing the air cleaner duct from Throttle Body and the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose from right bank camshaft cover, ensuring that upper Intake Manifold doesn't get loose from lower Intake Manifold. Then, take off the Intake Manifold bolts, bolts on the Intake Manifold brace (1 and 2) and the brace before moving the upper Intake Manifold to lower Intake Manifold for enough space has to carry out Ignition Coil extraction. Unplug the Ignition Coil electrical connector(s), the Ignition Coil bolt(s), and the Ignition Coil(s). To install, reinstall the Ignition Coil(s) and tighten the Ignition Coil bolt(s) to 10 nm (89 lb in), then reconnect the ign. Coil electric connector(s). Reinstall the Intake Manifold if there is a need and finally, replace the engine cover.
