  A: Start the hood primary latch cable replacement by opening the hood before removing the front section of the air cleaner assembly. Begin by removing every component related to the hood then untether the Hood Cable from the Hood Latch. Start by removing clips which retain the Hood Cable to the vehicle. After that expose the screws holding the hood release handle to the vehicle. Cut out the Hood Cable grommet from the dash panel's front section then retrieve the Hood Cable from the vehicle. Place your new Hood Cable into the vehicle position then install the Hood Cable grommet on the front dash panel while following fastener caution instructions. Tighten screws for the hood release handle to 2 nm (18 lb in) before placing the Hood Cable into its clips which lead to the Hood Latch. Reinstall all connected panels followed by components while putting back the front air cleaner section then finally close the hood.
